Currently I am an honor roll Junior at Timberline High School. I am currently pursuing a career in professional bass fishing. My family has no history of fishing and I have taught myself the art of bass fishing with the help of the internet, books, fellow bass fisherman, and on-the-water experience. I also am very active in football, weightlifting and especially my community. I was born August 4th, 1991 in Olympia, Washington. I lived and grew up outside of Tenino, Washington on the shores of McIntosh Lake. During my time there I learned basic fishing skills. Now I live in Lacey, which is surrounded by 4 great bass lakes. I have seriously been bass fishing for 6 years now and started fishing tournaments 5 years ago with good success. I fish competitively as much as I can and truly have a passion for the sport of bass fishing. I fish as a non-boater and as a boater right now, which I believe is a multi-faceted advertisement opportunity. I used to fish out of my homemade bass boat, a 12 foot aluminum V-hull. Now I will be fishing out of a new Legend Boats Alpha 199 this season. As for bass clubs, I joined the Western Bass Club 4 years ago; I am currently the Entertainment Director. Also, I am the founder and president of the Capital City JR. Bass Club and Timberline HS Fishing Club. Currently my fishing is paid by me out of pocket and help from my very supportive sponsors. I am proudly sponsored by Legend Boats, Mercury Marine, Outdoor Emporium, Smith RV and Marine, Lamiglas, Stowmaster Nets, Gamakatsu, Red Creek Apparel, KGM Custom Baits, Navionics, Gary Yamamoto Custom Baits, Wired Energy Drinks, Gamma Fishing Line, Quickdrops and Keelshield. I am proud to be representing each of them as they are all very well ran companies and make a great product that I truly use and trust. One thing I feel that is essential for me to work with any sponsor is the absolute belief in your product. Product knowledge is paramount to my success both on the water and when representing your company. I can confidently provide promotion, professionalism, product ideas, enthusiasm, and representation of what your company is all about. I truly know that I will be an asset to your company and its fishing team. I have extensive knowledge in marketing, advertising, promotion and communications as I have grown up around it my whole life. My mother is the marketing teacher at Timberline High School, which I am currently attending. Also, my father was a marketing teacher for 11 years. On my own I have studied marketing for the last 3 years, mainly in advertising, promotion and entrepreneurship. I just recently competed in my regional DECA competitions (as a freshman and sophomore) and finished first in "Entrepreneurship" as I created a bass fishing guide service and an online tackle store. At state competition I finished in 5th place in both. I recently placed in the top 20 in the nation in Sports Marketing. I also believe that a paramount to my success is community involvement, I do community service projects monthly and help plan ramp clean-ups and help out underprivileged youth. I am outgoing and confident in my public speaking ability and skill to move product. I often travel to state tournaments, sportsman‘s shows, and many other outdoor activities while I proudly promote my sponsors. I also received the Kids Fishing All-American Scholarship, which includes a $5,000 savings bond, and also won the Kids Fishing All-American Challenge in Tulsa, OK in August of 2007. To summarize it all, I have a true passion for bass fishing and marketing and by combining the two, anything is possible. |
